Strange Sound Reported in San Diego

The sound was felt or heard in all corners of San Diego County

"Residents from Chula Vista to Oceanside are reporting a large rumble around 12:45 p.m. Friday. Some people describe it as sounding like a door slamming while others said it was strong enough to rattle windows. A check of the U.S. Geological Survey website shows no earthquake activity. One San Diego resident mentioned the sound via Twitter "Uh... La Jolla just shook. Or at least my street did. Big boom too." Sometimes, a military exercise known as chaff can cause a similar sound. On Friday, however, Tina Stall with the National Weather Service said there was no visible chaff in the area at the time the noise was reported. A spokesperson from Camp Pendleton said Marines are not training with anything unusual. They often train with various military equipment and will be training with tanks both Saturday and Sunday." (more at source)

I think this is the first time that these worldwide sounds, heard in Russia, Ukraine, Canada, etc have been heard and documented so thoroughly over such a major metropolitan area in the US. People have been calling the strange sound "Sounds of the Apocalypse." I don't know if these sounds are a progressive fulfillment of the following verse, but it certainly gives one pause for thought with all the other historic, apocalyptic, and unusual things happening today on earth. Even the UK Daily Telegraph noted, "America in grip of fire and floods"

"A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the LORD hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith the LORD." (Jeremiah 25:31).

Please continue to be in prayer for missionaries, the lost, and the weakening of faith and of strength. The LORD made this promise to Israel but He also will do the same for his Bride:

The Ransomed Shall Return
The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad; the desert shall rejoice and blossom like the crocus;
it shall blossom abundantly and rejoice with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, the majesty of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory of the LORD, the majesty of our God.
Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees.
Say to those who have an anxious heart,
“Be strong; fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance,
with the recompense of God.
He will come and save you.”
 Isaiah 35:1-4

Strange sounds in the sky: Oregon

Along with all the increased signs that Jesus predicted we would see in advance of His coming, such as wars, earthquakes, pestilences etc; the manifested or visible supernatural has also increased. It will increase a lot more during the Tribulation, Revelation tells us. Also Joel. I've posted about the strange onset in NY of what doctors are calling Tourette's but looks for all the world like demonic possession, entire towns where strange demonic things happen (Sicily and the clocks, demon attack in West Indies and a follow-up), a vampire in Colorado that caused a car crash, Halo over Mile High Stadium, and who can forget the Norwegian Doom Spiral and the Ghost Horse of Tahrir Square? Now the strange sounds of the Apocalypse. That is the public's name for the phenomenon, not mine.

I've posted about the strange sounds three times this year. In January, March and April. Of all the weird/inexplicable things that have been happening, I'm most intrigued by the Strange Sky Noises. (Another name for the phenomenon). And it is a phenomenon by now. Phenomenon is defined as "any observable occurrence."  But that doesn't seem to adequately cover the definition for the Sounds of the Apocalypse events that are occurring all over the world. So we look at the definition of Paranormal Phenomenon: which is a general term that designates experiences that lie outside "the range of normal experience or scientific explanation" or that indicates phenomena understood to be outside of science's current ability to explain or measure. Paranormal phenomena are distinct from certain hypothetical entities, such as dark matter and dark energy, only insofar as paranormal phenomena are inconsistent with the world as already understood through empirical observation coupled with scientific methodology." (Wikipedia).

THAT seems to define it.

Here is the commentary for the video uploaded by the Oregon woman:

"This is the 3rd morning in a row at roughly 3:00 am. The sound starts with a rumbling in the ground, and then the sound continues for roughly 30 minutes or so. Can not explain where it is coming from, it seems as if it is coming strait from the sky with not a single plane in sight. If anyone has anymore info. on this sound we are hearing, I would very much appreciate any explanation to what we are experiencing here in Oregon. Thank you."

This blog has a follow up with questions asked of the Youtube lady who had uploaded the video. She answered some of the questions people had wondered about in her comment section.

Now for the biblical exploration of the strange sky noises.

"A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the LORD hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith the LORD." (Jeremiah 25:31).  The Hebrew word for noise is defined in Strong's Concordance: "shaon: or din, clamor, big noise, roaring, rumbling, tumult." The sounds people have been hearing all over the world have been variously described with exactly those adjectives. Strong's further defines the word shaon, "a roar of many waters as in simile of noise of invading host." Further, the infinitive of the word is defined as "by implication, destruction -- horrible, noise, pomp, rushing, tumult". Horrible. Yes. You will remember that the host are the armies of angels, both the good ones and the fallen ones. In none of the cases where the noise was heard and recorded did it sound like a pleasant noise. The noises are not named Sounds of the Apocalypse for nothing.

If the armies of heaven are readying for the battle, then what would it sound like? When Elisha asked God to reveal by sight to his servant the host that had gathered around them, were there also sounds that the servant heard?

"When Elisha prayed and said, "O LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see." And the LORD opened the servant's eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha." (2 Kings 6:17). Would Elisha's servant have heard rumbling of the chariots? Were his ears also opened? I dare to say that when a multitudinous army masses for battle, there is clanking and rumbling and noise.

We know in John 12:28-29 that when Jesus prayed to God for Him to glorify His name, "Then a voice came out of heaven: “Father, glorify Your name.” "I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.” So the crowd of people who stood by and heard it were saying that it had thundered; others were saying, “An angel has spoken to Him.” So some heard thunder and some heard the voice of an angel.

I have no doubt that some of these noises are hoaxes. But many of them are not. How do I know? Well, for example, this one above. It is the spookiest, creepiest, scariest I've heard yet. When you get to the last few seconds, the lady says 'I am going to just stay here until it ends' and right then, the noise crescendos into something that is utterly horrifying to the soul. At that time she says, "UH MAYBE NOT!" and the screen goes blank. The sound terrifies not just the ears but the soul. It raised hackles on my neck and sent a shudder down my body. It caused a spiritual reaction that freaked me out so I won't listen to it again. If a hoax noise can do that, then my hat is off to the hoaxer.

Otherwise, pray, people, for soon the sounds will be sight, and the sight will be terrible to behold. Elisha and his servant were not afrighted because the host they were allowed to see were there to help them. In Jeremiah, we read that "He will give them that are wicked the sword." The justified will be in heaven due to the rapture. The wicked will be the ones that are left behind. And it will be to them that the horrible host will rumble with a tumult out of the sky to put them to the sword.

If you are frightened by that specter, then plea to Jesus for forgiveness of your sins. He died for those sins, you know! They are forgiven already. All you have to do is call upon Him as Lord, and because of His death and resurrection, the sin-debt to God has been satisfied. You can be included in that happy group, if you repent. Otherwise the Sounds of the Apocalypse will soon become sight, and "Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken." (Luke 21:26).

Strange boom heard in GA, spiritual warfare ramping up?

There has been a spate of strange sky noises lately, reported from all around the world. I reported on some of them last year, a roundup is here.

People have been asking me if I am going to address the current spate of sky rumbles/sky quakes/ mysterious booms as they are variously known. I don't have much to say about them, and I can't really relate them to the bible because the bible does not specifically address them as a warning sign. However, they may indicate something related to the end times.

The noises are usually a low pitched hum that veritably drives the residents crazy, or a boom from the sky that people liken to a sonic boom. Sometimes they say it sounds like a clanking or a chain in the sky. In several incidents, they were hoaxes. When they occur for real, as in the case where it was so loud it caused car alarms to go off, the authorities receive dozens to hundreds of phone calls asking if there had been an earthquake. In most cases, the boom is not related to a military activity nor aeronautic exercise, not to a quake, and not to drilling or explosives. These things are checked out and the usual explanation is usually absent, leaving residents to wonder what is the cause of the noise. That's why they are termed mysterious. Someone dubbed them "Sounds of the Apocalypse" and I think that is the most apt thing about these noises.

At first, the sounds were being recorded and put up by citizens on Youtube. In those cases I think some were hoaxes. Then semi-credible news agencies started reporting on them, such as this one from UK Daily Mail-

"What's causing the mysterious sounds coming from the sky that are so loud they set off car alarms?"

After this more credible news outlets reported on them, albeit local ones:

Still no explanation for mysterious booms in Madison County
And still another one heard over several states and accompanied by a fireball

A mysterious boom was heard today near Savannah GA.

Something shakes Southeast Georgia
Reports of loud boom, earth shaking reports come from 5 counties
It wasn't an earthquake that rattled windows and store shelves early, but residents across Southeast Georgia heard and felt something big Thursday morning. "My wife and I, we heard this loud noise -- this booming noise," said Officer Todd Rhodes of the Brunswick Police Department. "It was a noise that literally shook our home." When Rhodes got to work, he learned his 911 center was swamped with calls of people with similar reports. "Everyone was very concerned," Rhodes said. "There was some panic there because you know when you hear that noise as far-reaching as it was, and not only hearing it but feeling it, you want to know, 'What is this?'"

GEMA, Air Force confirm sonic boom heard
"Several people called WTOC Thursday morning saying they heard a loud boom and some even felt their house shake around 8:30 a.m. Ray Parker, the Emergency Management Director in McIntosh County, ruled out an earthquake. The Georgia Emergency Management Agency and the Air Force both confirm that what people heard was a sonic boom. Some Air Force planes were doing training exercises off the Georgia coast Thursday morning, when one may have gotten too close to land."

Maybe.

There is no doubt that strange booms are emanating from the sky. Enough people have heard them to make no doubt they really are happening. When hundreds of calls flood into a 911 call center, when agencies like GA Emergency Management Agency and Seismology offices and Police Authorities officials confirm it, you know they are happening. But what are they? Why are they being heard now?

I think of the veil, the veneer between us and the powers, principalities and dominions (Eph 1:21, Col 1:16; Eph 6:12) and I wonder, how thin is it? Elisha prayed to God for Him to give Elisha's servant a glimpse of the other side, and the servant's eyes were opened and he saw the multitudes of angels right there hovering and ready to do battle. (2 Kings 6:17). Are the two sides so close together that an occasional co-mingling occurs? Sounds leak from one to the other? I don't know of course, but I wonder about these things.

There is an angel big and strong enough to stand on the sun and loud enough to call to all the birds flying in the air inside out atmosphere:

"Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he cried out with a loud voice, saying to all the birds which fly in midheaven, "Come, assemble for the great supper of God," (Revelation 19:17).

There are angels big and strong enough to stand at the 4 compass points and hold back the wind:

"After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, so that no wind would blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree." (Revelation 7:1).

Angels are strong and big. The fallen angels are strong and big too. They were once the good angels who served God after all, the same as the ones written about above.

Personally I believe the booms are either manifestations of spiritual warfare we happen to hear on this side of the veil, or the preparations God is making for imminent Tribulation judgments. Sort of like the bumps and shudders throughout a house when furniture is being moved around. Nothing that is happening on that side of the veil is happening accidentally or chaotically, of course, but as evil rises I picture the throes and feverish pitch of good angels fighting fallen angels, and the preparations for the climactic end season of man's time on earth.

This means that if you are not saved that you need to be, NOW. It means that if you have read this far, that  the Spirit is working in you toward repentance, and all you need to do is realize that your sins are crimes against a Just and Holy God, who sent His Son to die to pay for the penalty required to satisfy God's wrath over those crimes.

Jesus said of Himself,

"I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd." (John 10:14-16)

You are welcome to the flock. The sheepfold is big enough for you. Your loving Shepherd wants to take care of you, longs to, in fact. He promises to deliver Jacob, His people:

“I will surely gather all of you, Jacob; I will surely bring together the remnant of Israel.
I will bring them together like sheep in a pen, like a flock in its pasture; the place will throng with people. (Micah 2:12)

He promises to deliver His Church people:

"Then Jesus told them this parable: “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent." (Luke 15:3-7)

If you do need to repent, do so soon, please. Jesus is coming. He is a fabulous Savior, the manifestation of Love itself. Be in Him, it is the safest and warmest and best place to be in the entire universe. Blessings to you all.
