The Business Insider article comparing the Time Magazine covers is an eye opener, and shows in graphic detail, pun intended, just how manipulated by the media Americans really are.

Just as Paul noted the nobility of the Bereans for being diligent to check all the teachings they received against the bible, applauding them for their Christian responsibility in searching these things out to see if they are true, it is also the citizen's responsibility to be aware of the world we live in, fully and objectively informed in the political and other spheres. As this personal diligence in both the Christian spheres and the political spheres decline, it just makes it that much easier for the antichrist to come along and manipulate the last vestiges of truth in a dying world to his advantage.
